Inspiring Life Story Before Microsoft
Bill Gates was inborn in Seattle, Washington, on the 28th of October 1955. His father is William H. Gates Sr his mother’s name is Mary Maxwell Gates. He has one older sister Kristi Gates and a younger sister Libby Gates. At the age of 13, he was joining in Lakeside School, a private preparatory school. While at that school, he was attracted to basic programming in the General Electric system and made excuses from classes to pursue his interest.
Turning Point
He develops his first computer program on the General Electric machine. Then Bill Gates met Paul Allen at the school, and they joined to work together to find bugs in the PDP-10 system associated with Computer Center Corporation. Bill Gates, Paul Allen, and the other two students write down a payroll program for Information Sciences in exchange for computer time and royalties. After that, it leads to his school become fully aware of his programming skills. After that, he also developed a program for the scheduled student classes.
At the age of 17, Bill Gates and Paul started a work called Traf-O-Data, to make traffic counters based on Intel 8008 processors. Gates graduated from the Lakeside School in 1973 and was a National Merit Scholar, and he scored 1590 out of 1600 on the SAT. He takes to enroll at Harvard College in the autumn of 1973, where he met Steve Ballmer. Gates did not have a study plan at Harvard but spent a lot of his time using the computers. In 1974 he joined Paul Allen at Honeywell. In 1975 the MITS Altair 8800 based on Intel’s 8080 CPU was released. Bill and Paul saw that as an opportunity to start their own software company.

In 1975 Gates read an article in the January of Popular Electronics that displayed the Altair 8800 and got inspired by him. Then, Gates contacted MITS, the creators of the new microcomputer, to inform them that he and other people were working on the BASIC interpreter for the platform. Gates and Allen did not have any written code, and they wanted to know the gauge interest of MITS. So Bill and Paul met with the MITS chairman and created or developed an Altair emulator within a few weeks to demonstrate on a minicomputer and then the BASIC interpreter. The demonstration was a great success and opportunity, which led to a deal with MITS to distribute the interpreter as Altair BASIC. Paul Allen was engaged in MITS, and Bill Gates took a leave of absenteeism from Harvard to work with Allen in November 1975. They nominated their partnership Micro-Soft, a year later, the hyphen was dropped, and on the 26th of November 1976, the name Microsoft was registered
IBM Company Approached
IBM company approached Microsoft to write him a BASIC interpreter for the new IBM PC, and Gates referred IBM to Digital Research because they required him to write an operating system, but the talking did not go well. So IBM presenter spoke with Gates around the discussions, and he suggested using 86-DOS owned by SCP, an operating system similar to hardware similar to the PC. Microsoft made a deal with SCP to look good as the exclusive licensing agent and later the complete owner of 86-DOS. After acclimating the operating system for the PC, Microsoft delivered it to IBM as PC DOS in exchange for a one-time fee of $50,000
The sales or trading of MS-DOS made Microsoft a main character in the industry. Even with IBM’s name on the Dos operating system on the operating system, the news press rapidly point out Microsoft as being very influential on the new computer. An expert in the industry is called “Gates computer”. The company was on the 25th of June 1981, and Gates became the president and board chairman.
Microsoft launched its first selling version of Microsoft Windows for pc on the 20th of November 1985 and struck a contract with IBM to develop a decoupled operating system called OS/2. IBM & Microsoft created the first version of the new operating system successfully, but their partnership is ended due to some creative differences.
Microsoft has been growing up ever since. The software and hardware products and packages have been expanding from Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office suite, Office 365, Xbox gaming, Bing search engine, Hotmail, and the list goes on. It all began with the first idea and proper structure, and then they built upon that all.
