History of Pind Dadan Khan, Pind Dadan Khan (PD Khan), a city is situated in District Jhelum, Punjab,Pakistan.
Pind Dadan Khan Location
Pind Dadan Khan lies six miles south of the Khewra Salt (Salt Mine), 24 miles east of Lillah-Toba road between the M2 and 8 km east of Pither Nadi. Its borders with Khushab, Chakwal, Sargodha and Mandibahudin.
During British rule, it became the capital of secession and tehsil with a similar name in the Jhelum region of British Punjab. It was located in the Sind-Sagar branch of the North-Western Railway. The municipality was established in 1867 and most of the money was collected by the British authorities as octroi.

The population in 1901 was 13,770. Previously it was a booth where salt was brought from the May Mine, where it was carried across the river to the railways, but the passage of Jhelum in Haranpur and the expansion of the train to Khewra have passed. In the past, copper ships were used in the city, and there was a large textile industry. Embroidered fabrics were often sold at exorbitant prices.

Boatbuilding
Boatbuilding was a source of skilled craftsmanship, and Pind Dadan Khan’s riverboats made it a must-have for the entire Jhelum course. However, after the construction of the Mangla Dam to strengthen the country’s irrigation system as part of the Indus Basin Project, the population of the Jhelum River has now dwindled throughout the flood. The products produced include a deep red clay adorned with surprisingly dark and robust patterns that have been a unique feature of the city and solid leather construction made with English designs.

History Of Nandana
The village of Nandana near Pind Dadan Khan is where Abu Rayhan Muhammad ibn Ahmad Al-Biruni came and founded the laboratory where we are now. Alberuni calculated the size of the earth in that laboratory during his lifetime; now, the laboratory desperately needs some interest from the Pakistani government as it is poorly constructed and the building disappears day by day. If soon care is not given, there will not sign great work by Alberuni However, skilled artisans have left the area.
Education
In colonial times the city had a high school. On the outskirts of Pind Dadan Khan, another state student college and a state girls’ college have already been established and operational. There is also one Technical College in the public sector and has already announced the acceptance of a three-year Diploma course. Classes start at this college. Many other private colleges also exist. Many private schools are there to provide quality education to the residents of the area. About 80% of the population is literate and is increasing day by day.

Great source of income
Agriculture and salt are the primary sources of income. In addition, the two cement factories are a significant source of income for the local people.

The different language spoken in Pind Dadan Khan tehsil is Lahnda, based on Punjabi with many dialects like Saraiki, Wangari, Pothohari, and Buhari.
Railway Station
There is a train station, which makes it easy to travel at a meagre cost. The train passes through a bridge known as the Victoria Bridge, where the train passes through three districts in 1 to 2 minutes
