Aansoo Lake was reportedly discovered by Pakistani pilots in 1993 while flying at a very high altitude. Before this, Lake Aansoo was unknown to even the local people. A challenging trek can reach Aansoo Lake from Lake Aansoo Saif-ul-Muluk. However, there is another way to get to the lake from Mahanderi, but this route is not popular as it is a low pedestrian route, and the difficulty is unknown. The best time to visit Aansoo Lake is from May to July.
